Worker Info

Look at that new roofline!
The workers are up there shingling it as I write. One worker told me that they had poured some 64-69 concrete piers underneath the floor and had put in blocks and jacked it up to shim and level it. He said there had only been joist support on the 4 corners.

Here's a straight on frontal view. What a change in appearance.
In this view, you can see the shinglers.

This slab will be a 3-car roofed carport or garage.

In this foto I am standing in the far end of what used to be the kitchen.
The ceiling in this big family room is 18 feet high.

In this foto I stood where the guy in the green shirt was standing in the last foto ... looking back towards what had been the kitchen area.

Major Renovation / Rebuild !!

This isn't just a new roof line ... which is very nice looking.
It is a major renovation of the house.

Don't get bored by this shot under the house ...
It is REALLY SIGNIFICANT !!
Look closely and you will see trails of concrete and mounds of dirt where they have dug and poured concrete footings. As soon as the footings are firm enough, blocks will go on them, the floor will be level, and WILL stay that way.
Then look up and notice the light color of the new wood that has been install to support and re-enforce the entire floor and joists.

This view is thru the formal living room into the family room.
Notice that the fireplace has been pared way back.

Looking in thru the doorway just south of the Family Rm fireplace
The former sun room, family room, laundry, pantry, and kitchen ...
A whole new design concept for this space is in the works.

Repair -- Modification

As you can see, the property closed on last Friday afternoon ... and by Monday morning the siding is gone from the front porch ... and the roof has been entirely removed ... apparently to be replaced by a much taller peaked roof.

The above two signs are out front ...
